Work With Us
Creating a meaningful, productive landscape starts with clarity.
Whether you are just beginning or ready to move forward, our role is to help you understand what is possible and how to get there in a way that fits your space, time, and lifestyle.
Start Here
Every project begins with a consultation. This is the most valuable place to start.
This is where we:
understand your space
explore your goals
identify opportunities and constraints
You leave with a clearer sense of direction and what your next steps could look like.
“We had no idea where to begin, and taking it on ourselves felt daunting. Josh and his team were a welcome presence and made the whole process feel far less overwhelming.”
— Sheena Tiicham Muir, Homeowner & Herbalist
From there, we help you move forward with clarity and direction.
From Clarity to Direction
For most projects, the next step is a Landscape Concept Plan. This is where your garden begins to take shape. It bring everything together into a clear, cohesive direction you can trust.
This provides:
a clear layout and structure
plant direction and system design
a cohesive vision for your space
It allows you to move forward with confidence, whether you are building it yourself or working with us.
“Thank you for being our sage guide as we navigate this special moment in our lives.
Your understanding of the power of a good question to generate dialogue, crystallize an idea, identify values and barriers, and co-create the vision is exceptional.”
– Dr. E.G., Ecological Restoration Specialist

You might be looking for:
A clear plan before investing time or money
Design guidance that works with your site and lifestyle

Help making sense of conflicting advice
Whatever your starting point, we focus on clarity first.
Ways of Working Together
We tailor our level of involvement to match your goals, capacity, and the complexity of your project.
-
Thoughtful planning is often the most valuable place to begin.
Design and planning support may include site-specific layouts, plant selection, phasing guidance, and clear next steps tailored to your goals.
-
For those who want hands-on help, we offer full-service installation and on-site support grounded in practical experience—building systems that settle in well and grow stronger with time.
-
Some people enjoy doing the work themselves with the right structure and guidance.
Our DIY options provide design direction, seasonal care guidance, and confidence to move forward at your own pace.
How We Approach the Work
We work with living systems, including soil, plants, climate, and people.
That means:
We prioritize long-term health over quick fixes
We design for realistic maintenance
We adapt recommendations to your actual site and capacity
We support gardens that improve with time rather than decline
This work is meant to feel grounded, not rushed. Supportive, not overwhelming.
“The work never felt rushed or overwhelming, and the garden feels like it truly belongs here.”
— Dr. Michelle Lareau, Veterinarian
Where We Work
We’re based in Greater Victoria, BC, and primarily work on-site across Vancouver Island, including the Gulf Islands.
We also support clients beyond our region through remote design, planning, and ongoing guidance.
Some projects involve close, in-person collaboration.
Others unfold through thoughtful planning and steady support at a distance.
For the right projects, we’re open to traveling and working more closely over time.
An Invitation
If you’re unsure which path makes the most sense for you, that’s completely normal.
Most projects begin with a conversation.
You don’t need a plan. We’ll help you find clarity and understand what’s possible for your space, so you can move forward with confidence.
