Deer-Proof Edible Landscaping
These design clients were facing a predicament. Their backyard was shaded by a group of beautiful Garry Oaks, and the best sunlight was in their front yard. The problem? Deer loved their front yard! Bylaws wouldn’t allow for full perimeter deer-fencing, so we created an enclosed raised bed veggie garden, with deer-resistant edible perennials and herbs at the entranceway, surrounded by a low-maintenance wildflower lawn. Our clients have been slowly working on implementing the design, reaching out when they have questions. We also helped coordinate a team of heavy machine operators to install their new asphalt driveway. As this project progresses, we will post photos of our clients progress!
